ORGANIZATIONAL IMPERATIVE:

The Regional Operations Manager is the Business Leader for all operations within an assigned geographic region of the business, overseeing all functions and general operations of FHI's business operations for that region.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

We will know the Regional Operations Manager is successful when

• The associate satisfaction score in the manager's assigned locations are at or above the goal established for the survey year.

• The DART rate in the assigned locations achieve the annual goal determined by the previous year's results and defined goal for current year.

• Assigned locations are staffed at 95% of the Staffing Target throughout the year. This is reported through the management staffing report.

• Turnover Reduction in the manager's assigned locations meeting or achieving the annual goal determined by the previous year's results and defined goal for the current year based on the HR annualized turnover report.

• The Contribution Margin for the assigned locations meets or exceeds goals as stated by company leadership and the Net Operating Income for the assigned locations is at or above stated goals.

• Training and development results in the transfer of knowledge to a high potential candidate prepared for promotion opportunities and capable of performing the Regional Manager role.

BEHAVIORAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• Leads operations in the assigned operations locations using the company Purpose, Vision and Values as a foundation for effective decision making.

• Effectively communicates throughout the organization and with customers on an individual basis or group using strong written and verbal skills.

• Reviews information and reports, to identify opportunities for improvement, as it relates to our associates, customers and FHI processes and offer recommendations, solutions and proposals based on the findings.

• Provides coaching to their management teams as required through consistent interaction and identification with the team.

• Uses effective time blocking discipline to allow face time with front line associates and managers on a weekly basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implements and executes business processes that lead to profit and loss in FHI's unloading business for that region.

• Advises the Director of Operations with decision making that will best serve the business outcomes. Works closely with the various support department Leaders (Executive team, HR, Finance, Accounting, IT) and others to develop and recommend appropriate operational decisions and adjustments.

• Provides coaching to his/her direct reports and operational leaders so there is a clear expectation regarding the objectives that will lead to their success. Conducts regular, monthly one-on-one coaching (AP) sessions with each direct report.

• Provides clear expectations to their team(s) in the areas of customer service, safety, development and training. Reviews direct reports' performances compared to expectations for that position, including KPI goals.

• Ensures audit procedures are in place that inspects all aspects of operations for compliance to our company policies, procedures and to uphold FHI's company values as outlined in the company PVV.

• Complies with established policies, procedures, federal, state and local laws and ensures consistent application throughout assigned region.

• Participates in the Customer Top-To-Top and operational Continuous Improvement Meetings as directed by the (Sr.) Director of Operations for the assigned region.

• Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time at the discretion of management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, pull, stretch, twist and lift to handle product, operate warehouse dock equipment safely and operate safely in the warehouse environment physically and safely.

• Capable of working in varying hot and cold temperature environments.

• Ability to travel extensively to assigned locations.

• Use of standard office equipment in typical office environment/conditions.

• Ability to use close and distance vision to focus on computer screen for the majority of the workday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

We believe that skills and experience are what truly matter. While education can be a valuable asset, it is not a strict requirement for success in this role.

Experience:

• Management experience in warehouse/shipping/receiving preferably in grocery supply chain.

• 3+ years management experience in warehouse environment with responsibility for HR related activities, safety, competency in production and financial analysis, customer relations, leading and coaching operational teams to success.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Must demonstrate well developed written and oral communication skills with ability to use influence to build positive effective relationships.

• Computer/Microsoft Office proficiency.

• Must have valid driver's license and pass background check
