Position Summary
Welcome patrons in a warm and friendly manner, seat them at tables in proper restaurant dining areas and ensure quality of facilities and service. Input and management of reservations through POS from online and telephone requests. Ensure the Outpost Dining area is always neat, clean and presentable.
Start Date & Training
Anticipated start date and training for our newly renovated restaurant will begin in early November.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greets members/guests and seats them at tables or in waiting areas.
  • Assigns patrons to tables suitable for their needs.
  • Inspects dining reservations and prepares server with upcoming reservation needs.
  • Receive and record patrons' dining reservations in computer.
  • Inputs take-out orders into point of sale (POS) system; and inputs orders as needed.
  • Operate telephone; to answer, screen and forward calls, provide information, taking messages and scheduling reservations. Manage voicemails; keep log and return all calls promptly.
  • Keeps host stand and menus clean, presentable and organized.
  • Inform the supervisor of any complaints when they occur.
  • Performs clean-up and opening/closing duties.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings.
  • Enforce club rules such as proper dress code; advise supervisor and document.
  • Be familiar with club events in all areas of the club; dates, location etc.
  • Maintain Club's overall appearance by keeping all areas litter free.
  • Support country club as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Special projects assigned by management.

Education & Experience
High-school graduate or GED equivalent required; Valid Arizona Food Handler's card. Entry level, 1-2 years' experience in food service or hosting experience in a high end restaurant setting or country club.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Superior customer contact skills. Able to interact successfully with a variety of people in person and by telephone. Ability to multi-task. Must be confident of skills and have the ability to make sound, independent decisions when appropriate; have the willingness to adjust to and conform to varying schedules; have excellent communication skills; and be able to get along well with others. Energetic, friendly and outgoing personality.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs; ability to stand for long periods of time. Working with the dining room computer, phone, Jonas POS System; Food and Beverage Service Equipment Utensils. Must be able to work in a well-lighted, temperature controlled work area. Must be able to see and work with customers and work in open area with other employees.
