Position: TMS Product Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Management System (TMS) Product Manager to lead the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery of enterprise transportation capabilities. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, logistics operations, and transportation leaders to drive the evolution of TMS capabilities and deliver innovative, scalable transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Transportation Management System (TMS) capabilities, aligning with business objectives and transportation operations.
  • Partner with transportation operations, logistics leadership, carriers, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, automation, and product innovation.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements, translating them into product features, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Own and manage the TMS product backlog, ensuring priorities are aligned with customer needs, business value, and technical objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, solution architecture, QA, and implementation teams throughout the Agile product development lifecycle.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, feature prioritization, user acceptance testing, and release planning activities.
  • Drive enhancements across core transportation processes including shipment planning, carrier selection, load building, route optimization, freight rating, tendering, execution, tracking, freight settlement, and transportation analytics.
  • Partner with integration teams to ensure seamless connectivity between the TMS and enterprise applications such as OMS, WMS, ERP, carrier networks, EDI, APIs, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Define product success metrics, monitor transportation KPIs, and leverage customer feedback and operational insights to continuously improve product capabilities.
  • Act as the primary product owner and subject matter expert for TMS initiatives while communicating product vision, roadmap, and delivery progress to executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Supply Chain Technology.
  • Hands-on experience with an enterprise Transportation Management System (TMS) such as Manhattan TMS, Oracle OTM, Blue Yonder TMS, SAP TM, MercuryGate, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of transportation and logistics operations including shipment planning, carrier management, routing, freight optimization, tendering, execution, tracking, and freight settlement.
  • Proven experience managing product roadmaps, Agile backlogs, feature prioritization, and release planning.
  • Experience leading TMS implementations, enhancements, upgrades, or enterprise transportation transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence both business and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven product decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating TMS with WMS, OMS, ERP, carrier systems, EDI, APIs, telematics, or supply chain platforms.
  • Experience with parcel, LTL, FTL, and international transportation operations.
  • Exposure to cloud-native transportation platforms and modern integration architectures.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, distribution, or third-party logistics (3PL) environments.
  • Experience with transportation analytics, freight cost optimization, and carrier performance management.
