About Us: Design Environments is a leading national commercial interior design firm that provides interior design, furniture, fixture, and equipment procurement, project management, and warehousing and installation services to its clients across the United States. What You'll Do: We're looking for a driven, relationship-first Regional Business Development Manager who thrives on building partnerships, uncovering opportunities, and creating long-term client success.

Based out of our Marietta, Georgia office, you'll manage a defined multi-state territory throughout the South and Southeast while serving as the face of Design Environments to commercial clients, developers, architects, and industry partners.

This is a highly collaborative role that combines strategic business development with consultative selling. You'll partner closely with our Design Department and Sales Leadership to transform client needs into winning solutions while growing both new and existing accounts.


You Will:

  • Drive growth across a defined multi-state territory through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and consultative selling.
  • Travel up to 60% of the time, conducting client meetings, presentations, jobsite visits, and networking opportunities throughout your territory.
  • Represent Design Environments at national trade shows, conferences, and industry events while identifying new opportunities and market trends.
  • Develop and expand relationships with commercial businesses, national homebuilders, multi-family and student housing developers, senior living operators, architects, and industry partners.
  • Execute a balanced sales strategy by aggressively pursuing new business while expanding existing client relationships and increasing account penetration.
  • Partner closely with the Design Department during the discovery and intake process to align client vision with creative solutions and project capabilities.
  • Establish clear expectations and upfront agreements with clients regarding budgets, timelines, project scope, and decision-making processes.
  • Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate pipeline management, forecast opportunities, and track daily sales activities and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership and Design teams to develop compelling proposals and deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to help shape territory strategy.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team revenue goals while consistently demonstrating proactive business development behaviors.


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience within commercial interiors, contract furniture manufacturing, or a closely related design/build industry.
  • Proven success in consultative outside sales with experience independently managing a large regional territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with interior designers, architects, procurement teams, and creative professionals.
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to confidently ask discovery questions around budgets, timelines, and decision-making processes to maximize project success.
  • Professional presence with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the Marietta, GA office at least once per week between travel commitments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% throughout the assigned territory and nationally for industry events.
