JOB DESCRIPTION

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a regional support role responsible for supporting new location openings, relocations, sales and growth initiatives, and strategic assignments directed by regional leadership. When assigned to a location, the AGM supports the General Manager (GM) with operational execution, team development, customer experience, safety, and process improvement. This position performs essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation and may be assigned additional duties consistent with business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management
  • Support day-to-day distribution center operations, including receiving, warehousing, picking, packing, shipping, logistics, driver coordination, and delivery completion.
  • Assist with Secondary and Local Shipping Center operations, including supervisor support, operational coverage, travel, and growth initiatives as business needs require.
  • Monitor warehouse maintenance, inventory integrity, cycle counts, audits, and accurate fulfillment of collision parts orders.
  • Identify and support process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve service levels, and strengthen operational consistency.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and support to supervisors and warehouse team members in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, scheduling, and workforce planning in partnership with the GM and Human Resources.
  • Promote accountability, safety, respectful communication, and consistent execution of operational standards.
Customer Service, Safety, and Systems
  • Support Customer Pick Up/Will Call operations, including accurate staging, efficient handoff, clear communication, minimal wait times, and consistent customer experience.
  • Help ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and assist with resolution of escalated customer or service issues.
  • Partner with sales and customer service teams to support business growth, service quality, and customer retention.
  • Support compliance with OSHA, regulatory requirements, and company policies; promote safe work practices and promptly report hazards or concerns.
  • Use WMS, ERP, MS365, reporting tools, and operational data to guide decisions, track performance, and support improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Three or more years of distribution, warehouse, logistics, or related operations experience; automotive or collision parts experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management, transportation/logistics, warehouse operations, WMS/ERP systems, MS365, and performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, analyze data, solve problems, manage time, and make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs and travel up to 25% as required.
