Position Overview

Life Adjustment Therapy is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dedicated team in a full-time capacity. This fully remote position offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Working closely within the structure of a detox center, you will play a critical role in providing therapy services that foster recovery and resilience.

About the Organization

At Life Adjustment Therapy, we believe that accessible mental health services are foundational to building healthier communities. Our mission is to empower mental health providers to develop thriving practices and ensure that quality care is available to everyone, irrespective of their financial means. We pride ourselves on our commitment to community wellness and aim to transform lives through comprehensive support and therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while contributing to a supportive and collaborative team. Our detox center operates within the larger mental health landscape to provide a safe, effective, and holistic approach to treatment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals who share expertise in mental health, addiction recovery, and clinical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough client assessments by utilizing initial intake forms alongside clinical interviews to gather comprehensive information.
  • Develop tailor-made care plans based on assessments, incorporating evidence-based practices and individual goals.
  • Deliver structured therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing, adapting techniques to meet client needs.
  • Document all clinical activities meticulously in electronic health records to ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other therapists to deliver integrated mental health services, offering comprehensive care to clients.
  • Educate clients and their families on resources available for support, equipping them with coping strategies and tools for recovery.
  • Stay informed on emerging mental health research and best practices to continuously enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will primarily work with individuals facing substance use disorders and mental health challenges, often in the critical early stages of recovery. Your understanding of the complexities these clients face will drive your compassionate approach to treatment, as you foster positive change and support their journey toward holistic health.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of an active LCSW license in California is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess clients' needs effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong therapeutic alliances.
  • Proficiency in using electronic healthcare records and telehealth platforms.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a mental health or substance abuse setting is preferred, demonstrating your ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities and familiarity with detox and inpatient environments is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, managing multiple clients and sessions with flexibility.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust financial package, we provide a comprehensive benefits plan that includes:

  • A 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions.
  • Dental and disability insurance to protect your health and well-being.
  • An employee assistance program to support your mental health needs.
  • Continuing education opportunities to advance your professional development and maintain licensure.
  • Access to free therapy sessions, allowing you to prioritize your mental health.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Life Adjustment Therapy, we are committed to the professional growth of our employees. You will have the chance to participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and expertise. There are opportunities for advancement within the organization as we continue to expand our services, allowing you to shape your career journey in a meaningful way.

Why Join Our Team
