Are you an organized, systems-minded professional who keeps organizations running smoothly? The Black Cultural Zone CDC (BCZ) is seeking a Coordinator, Operations to support the daily operational workflows, logistical coordination, and administrative infrastructure that sustains BCZ's mission-driven work across Deep East Oakland.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage Daily Operations: Support the execution of daily operational workflows including scheduling, logistics coordination, and internal communications across BCZ teams.
  • Coordinate Meetings and Events: Prepare agendas, manage logistics, take minutes, and follow up on action items for internal meetings, team gatherings, and organizational events.
  • Maintain Organizational Documentation: Organize and maintain operational files, policy documents, and process guides in shared digital systems to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
  • Support Budget Tracking: Assist with financial tracking, expense reporting, and budget monitoring to support operational decision-making.
  • Coordinate Vendor and Contractor Relations: Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers to support procurement, scheduling, and service delivery.
  • Support Initiative Logistics: Provide logistical support for BCZ signature initiatives, community activations, and cross-team projects as directed.
  • Maintain Systems and Tools: Ensure operational tools, shared platforms, and tracking systems are up to date and functioning effectively.
  • Uphold BCZ Values: Model BCZ's C.R.E.A.T.E. values in all operational activities, team collaborations, and community-facing interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in operations coordination, administrative support, or project coordination.
  • Proficiency with digital tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, project management platforms, and shared spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Commitment to BCZ's mission of centering Black culture, arts, and economic empowerment in East Oakland.
