The Production Lead will oversee the day to day tactical operations of a manufacturing area in alignment with the business strategy to support Customer Requirements.

What you’ll do as a Production Lead:
  • Ensure a physically and emotionally safe workplace for all
  • Support supervisor in proper staffing of both direct and indirect labor to meet production targets
  • Operate multiple machines within designated area
  • Ensure integrity of production numbers entered into ERP system.
  • Manage inventory locations both physically and in ERP system
  • Ensure employee conduct meets the values established by Cartamundi.
  • Assist in overseeing the performance of direct and indirect reports
  • Assist Supervisor in training all staff to quality metrics, safety metrics, and performance metrics
  • Ensure line quality metrics are met
  • Provide timely constructive feedback to direct reports and project teams to ensure output is in accordance with expectations
  • Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with direct reports and project teams to promote a high level of commitment and engagement
  • Inform supervisor when materials, personnel and/or equipment are down or out.
  • Remain current in manufacturing technologies that support sustainability and a competitive edge for overall organizational health and growth
  • Lead by example, displaying day-to-day leadership behavior that builds a collaborative, positive culture in support of organizational health and growth
We’re looking for a Production Lead with:Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required:

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish. Ability to interact professionally with employees, candidates, customers, and stakeholders in both languages is required.

  • Previous Technical Training and 2+ Years of progressive manufacturing
  • Prefer two (2) years in a lead role, overseeing individual contributors and leading production staff in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferable in a high-tech, equipment intensive manufacturing facility
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain cross functional, collaborative teams
  • In depth knowledge and application of Lean manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of problem-solving techniques/strategies
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Competent Computer Skills: MS Office, MRP/ERP
  • HS Diploma/GED is required
Physical requirements/working conditions:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
  • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
  • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
  • This position is located on-site in our Dallas facility
