JOB SUMMARY
The Engineer at Caravan Court responds to maintenance guest requests and facilitates preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
• Operational Responsibilities
o Familiarity with
§ door entry system
§ Small appliances (TV, Steamer, Safe, Hair Dryer)
§ Large appliances (Boilers, Washers, Dryers, Pool Pump, Irrigation)
§ HVAC
§ Plumbing
§ Electrical
§ Carpentry
§ Refrigeration
§ Fire system
• Guest Services
o Anticipate and attend to guest needs during interactions
o Be proactive when attending to guests
• Team Support and Training
o Attend and contribute to department meetings
o Participate in cross training
o Complete all required trainings
• Communication and Reporting
o Facilitate all internal communications and follow up accordingly
o Run all reports necessary to the operation
o Complete full shift pass on reports and checklists
o Log all maintenance work in appropriate platforms
• Safety & Compliance
o Adhere to all safety and security guidelines
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements
• Sitting: Short periods of time
• Standing/Walking: Long periods of standing, minimum of 5 consecutive hours

Working Environment
• Interior: Guest rooms/ hallways/ public areas
• Exterior: All exteriors of the hotel including rooftops
