Job description

Job Requisition: Business Process Excellence Lead
Location: Texas or DC metro

Role Overview As the Business Process Excellence Lead, you will serve as the architect of our operational efficiency. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling business processes across Finance, Contracts, and Supply Chain. Your goal is to ensure our processes are "right-sized"-providing the necessary rigor for federal and defense regulatory compliance while maintaining the speed required for a high-growth environment. You will act as the bridge between functional stakeholders and IT, ensuring that our digital transformation efforts are supported by robust process documentation, effective training, and measurable proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process Architecture: Facilitate process discovery sessions to map current states, identify bottlenecks, and design future-state workflows that drive consistency and reliability.
  • System Implementation: Partner with IT and functional leads to implement new business systems (ERP, Planning, Reporting, Procurement, and Inventory management), ensuring processes are embedded within the technology.
  • Change Management & Training: Develop and execute comprehensive training programs. Ensure all employees achieve documented proficiency in new processes and systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize data analysis to monitor process performance, recommending efficiencies that align with industry best practices and X-Bow's growth trajectory.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure all business processes meet the stringent requirements of federal and defense regulations, maintaining audit-readiness at all times.

Required Qualifications
  • Certifications: Active PROSCI Change Management and BPMI (Business Process Management Institute) certifications.
  • Experience: Proven track record in process mapping (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, or ARIS) and digital adoption tools (e.g., WalkMe, Whatfix).
  • Functional Expertise: Deep understanding of financial planning/reporting and supply chain lifecycles, specifically procurement and inventory management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working within the government contracting regulatory environment (e.g., FAR, DFARS, CAS).
  • Methodology: Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong capability in data analysis and reporting to drive evidence-based decision-making.
