Designs, evaluates and tests the security of systems to ensure that the systems and data integrity of the organization is being maintained and protects against the latest cyber threats.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical input into the design, deployment and operation of global IT Security management software and hardware devices.

  • Perform security tool system administration, including applying updates and patches.

  • Review existing applications periodically as well as new applications prior to installation to ensure adherence to security policies and industry best practices.

  • Proactively engage in discussions with IT operational teams to maintain and improve security posture.

  • Experience in NAC solutions, SIEM, Endpoint Protection (Crowdstrike), Automation, Data Loss Prevention Tools

  • Work to resolve security issues or incidents.

  • Perform applicable testing and investigations related to Information Security, Identify Access Management or Threat and Vulnerability Management.

  • Develop, revise and maintain relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions related to IT Security and engineering with a focus on ongoing improvement.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 3+ years of experience in related field.

  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
