Job description

AWS Elastic Block Store (EBS) is looking for a seasoned product manager to help us set the vision and build the future of block storage on AWS. The EBS service delivers high performance virtualized storage "in the cloud" for EC2. Millions of customers, from individual developers to large enterprises, use EBS for durable and performant storage and it is a key building block for any application.

As a member of the team you'll work alongside engineers and leaders to develop and operate one of the largest distributed systems in the world.
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager, External Services (PMT-ES) to help define new features and solutions for EBS customers. In this role, you'll have ownership of several critical customer-facing features.

You'll thrive in this role if you love learning about complex systems, love working with technical teams, are inspired by the idea of inventing new solutions on behalf of customers, and have a persistent desire to improve how things are done.
Our ideal candidate has the strategic thinking, creative vision, customer empathy, technical acumen, and operational understanding to deliver large-scale, customer-facing features. You have delivered large-scale SaaS applications with a focus on user experience, experimentation and metrics-driven decision making.

You are excited about the incredible opportunity cloud services represent and is deeply passionate about working with great teams that deliver the highest quality services. You thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment and solid communication skills.
A day in the life
Your day starts a call with a large enterprise customer provides insights for feature enhancements.

You then meet with the Director of Engineering to discuss the product roadmap and resource allocation. Mid-morning, you collaborate with product marketing and business development on go-to-market strategies. After lunch, you analyze user feedback and work on a PR/FAQ for a key use case expansion.

Your day ends with preparation for a strategy meeting with our VP on how we grow the business.
