Job description

Block and Brick Masons  - Needed As Soon As Possible

Hourly Wage Rate:  $32.00 Per Hour

Per Diem:  Depending on Site Location, Up to $200.00 Per Diem (Days Worked)

Hours Worked:  Weekly Scheduled Overtime, Up to 50 Hours Per Week Based on Client Need and Location

Duration:  60 Days with Opportunity to be Longer

Work Locations Will be in Skowhegan, Baileyville, Rumford, New Limerick and Houlton, ME.

Drug Test and Onboarding will be Completed in Skowhegan, ME.

Block and Brick Masons with Residential and or Commercial Experience; Industrial Preferred.

 Overview of Primary Duties:

  • Demonstrate Yates Core Values and Principles

    • Report all incidents, near hits, and hazards to management.
    • Required to wear and maintain personal PPE.
    • Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations.
    • Participate in workplace inspections.
    • Comply with statutory requirements, including duty of care.
    • Participate in required and assigned training.
    • Provide suggestions to improve Safety.
    • Present a mature approach to working safely.
    • Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute.
  • Other related duties as needed and assigned by Field Supervision.
  • This is not an all-inclusive list of tasks an employee may be asked to do. Employees are expected to complete any tasks they are assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation
  • Personal hand tools required for craft as established on the Yates Industrial Minimum Tool List
  • Successful completion of required Safety training to include, but not limited to, Confined Space, LOTO, and Working at Heights

  • Required to wear safety-approved body harnesses when working at 4’ or above
  • Required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting
  • Ability to talk and hear to communicate
  • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects up to 25 lbs.
  • Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception, and peripheral vision
