Medical-Surgical/Swing Bed Unit Manager opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!

Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Medical-Surgical/Swing Bed Unit Manager position. The Medical Surgical/Swing Bed Unit Manager is responsible for the direction of all aspects of patient care activities on the Medical-Surgical/Swing Bed Unit. Duties of the Manager, in conjunction with the Director of Patient Care Services, include the responsibility for clinical nurse practice, fiscal and budgetary management, development of personnel, compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards, patient satisfaction and quality improvement. The Medical-Surgical/Swing Bed Manager will attend the Hospitalist Meeting and communicate regularly with Hospitalist Physician Director. The Medical-Surgical/Swing Bed Unit Manager performs these responsibilities cooperatively with nursing staff, physicians and management to support the Mission, Vision and Standards of Bitterroot Health.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred

  • Licensure and Certifications: Current Montana Registered Nurse license, Current BLS certification, and ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Effective oral and written communication skills, computer proficiency, and experience with electronic medical records required.

  • Experience: Five or more years’ experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
