PACE is seeking an enthusiastic BCBA - School Behavior Analyst to provide behavioral support and program development for our high school campus (a small student population) located in Sunnyvale, CA. As a School BCBA, you will oversee and train staff on behavioral programs for students on the Autism Spectrum. 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide behavior consultation and services for students
  • Develop training for Aides, Teachers and other staff and present monthly training sessions.
  • Develop and review functional and motivational behavior assessments, behavioral plans and interventions.
  • Conduct on-site and direct observation of student's behavior and track progress, presenting suitable data assessment for the condition.
  • Model the skillful usage of basic behavioral procedures including: behavior specific praise, effective prompting, and behavior reduction procedures.

Requirements

The candidate must possess the following minimum requirements for the BCBA position:

  • Education - Must possess a MA/MS degree in the field of Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • Certifications - Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in good standing with the BACB.
  • Experience - Should have at least 2 years experience working with the special needs population.
  • Communication Skills The position requires communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to be creative and enthusiastic.  The candidate must actively participate in meetings with superiors, peers, and other employees. Collaboration and team work are critical skills.
  • Management and Organizational Skills - This position requires strong organizational skills with the ability to develop/implement written directions and collect and interpret numeric data. Candidate must possess the skills to effectively train a team of employees.
  • Technical Skills -- Proficiency in understanding behavior (ABA) literature for program development and implementation is required. Should possess the skills to effectively work with Teachers, Therapists and classroom support staff.
  • Driver - The employee must possess a valid California driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must be willing to work with teenage and post secondary students, ages 14-22 yrs.

Physical Requirements:

Pushing and Pulling, Lifting - Must be able to lift and or push at least 30lbs.

Twisting and Turning - Due to the high activity of the program this position requires the individual to be able to physically bend, squat, reach over shoulders, reach over head, reach outward, kneel, sit, walk, run on normal, slippery, or uneven surfaces and stand.

Student Behaviors - Must be able to follow all Safety Care Procedures when needed (Training provided).

Office Work - This position requires the following office work: Keyboard, Mouse, Repetitive Motion of Hands.
