ADM Community School District is seeking a dynamic and energetic Basketball Coach to work with our Middle School program. This position is an exciting opportunity for a coach who can inspire, motivate, and guide our young athletes to achieve success.
Player Development



  • Teach fundamental basketball skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, executing plays, rebounding, and defense).
  • Conduct structured and engaging practices with drills tailored to skill levels.
  • Emphasize proper mechanics to prevent injuries and ensure long-term growth.
  • Develop game strategies appropriate for middle school competition.
  • Encourage a positive attitude, discipline, and resilience.
  • Inspire players to work hard, improve, and enjoy the game.
  • Build team camaraderie and emphasize and role model sportsmanship.

Operations

  • Follow Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA),ย  Department of Education and ADM District Board policies, regulations and procedures.
  • Manage game day preparations, including game plans, player rotations, and decision-making during games. Aim for success on the court.
  • Ensure each athlete completes required eligibility paperwork.
  • Understand, support, explain and implement the Good Conduct Policy, Academic Eligibility Policy, and Daily Attendance Policy.
  • Oversee team logistics, including equipment management, completing transportation requests and reserving facilities.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Principal, Athletic Director, or other appropriate administrator.
