Pavilion Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health counselor to join our team and provide exceptional telehealth services to clients in need of mental health support. In this full-time role, you will play an integral part in evaluating, diagnosing, and developing personalized treatment plans that empower individuals to overcome their mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and interviews, documenting client progress from the first consultation through to treatment completion.
  • Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform tailored intervention plans.
  • Develop and implement recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on best practices and individual needs.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques that encourage participation and foster healing.
  • Monitor and analyze client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention plans.
  • Provide follow-up support for clients transitioning back to outpatient care after hospitalization, coordinating with attending physicians.
  • Educate and support family members and primary caregivers about mental health challenges, enhancing their ability to contribute to their loved ones' recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, ranging from individuals facing anxiety, depression, and trauma to families navigating complex relational dynamics. Our focus is on delivering empathetic and culturally competent care tailored to the unique backgrounds and needs of our clients. As a counselor, you will play a vital role in helping patients rebuild their lives and enhance their overall mental and emotional well-being.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Arizona is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE with documented passing scores.
  • Prior experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating effective engagement with clients.
  • Competency in utilizing electronic health record systems, with a preference for familiarity with AVATAR.
  • Understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders, to provide integrated care.
  • Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside exceptional interpersonal skills and empathy.
Preferred Experience
  • A background in providing telehealth services is preferred, with an emphasis on adapting therapeutic techniques for remote delivery.
  • Experience in collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate multifaceted treatment plans.
  • An in-depth understanding of the pharmacological treatments clients may encounter and their potential impacts on mental health.
