Lead systems development activities including overall design of system architecture, customer technical interface, requirements analysis/allocation, coordination of development activities with personnel at different global sites, integration and debug of products on the benches and vehicles.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Technical leadership of the global development project team.
  • Lead technical interface and support of the customer.
  • Analyze and de-bug issues in embedded systems using proper instrumentation equipment.
  • Adhere to embedded systems design and development process.
  • Actively lead/participate in design peer reviews.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Although the position does not entail direct supervisory responsibilities, technical and project leadership skills are essential to lead the global project team.


QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BSEE or CE is required. Other engineering degrees may be acceptable if the candidate has a demonstrated proficiency in embedded systems design and development
  • Three or more years of experience in embedded systems design, testing or in a related field with a preference in automotive embedded systems.
  • Proficiency with electronics and software testing tools and instrumentation
  • Understanding of Automotive SPICE standards and their practical applications preferred.
  • Proficiency with an Application Lifecycle Management tool such as PTC Integrity or Codebeamer is preferred.
  • Bluetooth, UWB, NFC or other wireless protocol knowledge or experience preferred.
  • CAN, LIN or other wired communication knowledge preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools is essential.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Good oral and written English language skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret highly technical design documents. Ability to write technical documents, development processes and procedures, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively represent information and respond to questions in a meeting environment. Additional Spanish, German, Korean and Mandarin language skills would be valued.

Self-starter. The candidate must possess strong analytical capability. Possesses excellent problem solving skills as evidenced by adherence to disciplined problem solving methods resulting in solid solutions to kill the issue.
