ACCOUNTABILITIES:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Responsible for ensuring proper installation of integrated systems, quality control of AV infrastructure, testing and final calibrations. 
  • Interface with client to include demonstration of new system operations, and client training.
  • Commission complex systems, troubleshoot and optimize, including final testing and turnover of integrated systems to clients.
  • Independent programming for audio and control for small to midsize projects. 
  • Develop and write test reports with a working understanding of testing equipment.
  • Maintain clean and safe worksite.
  • Attend a variety of internal meetings and customer meetings as required.
  • Promote quality improvement to enhance the services provided to clients.
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and industry software.  
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with client list and information.
  • Support regional field operations in Chicago, Lincolnshire, and Fulton Market by assisting with AV equipment receiving, storage, staging, preparation, and pre-commissioning activities as needed. 
  • Assist with tracking, organizing, and maintaining readiness of AV gear, including project hardware, client owned equipment, loaner gear, and RMA related items. 
  • Provide technical support to the Service team when needed, including service backfill, preventative maintenance checks, break/fix support, and client support activities. 
  • Support Lincolnshire and Fulton Market showroom environments by assisting with system readiness, troubleshooting, routine functionality checks, and ongoing AV support. 
  • Travel nationally up to 50% as needed, including potential occasional weekend work. 

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • 1 + years in Field Engineer/Commissioning role
  • CTS and CTS-I Certification preferred. 
  • Q-SYS Designer and QSC DSP systems level 2 required to be completed within first year.
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting Crestron Flex System MTR and Zoom room kits.
  • Working knowledge of Biamp, Q-SYS, Shure, and Tesira Forte DSP systems. 
  • Advanced understanding of audio and video signal flow. 
  • Ability to load Crestron code to processors, troubleshoot Crestron systems and working knowledge of Toolbox. 
  • Experience working with networked audio, PTP management and Dante controller.
  • Proven ability to commission commercial AV and train clients on system function. 
  • Experience with video switching systems: Crestron and Extron
  • Ability to configure Extron equipment with Extron Product Configurator software. 
  • Knowledge of installation of products such as ceiling/wall mounted speakers, displays, cameras, cabling infrastructure, AV racks, wall plates and interfaces (audio, video, control, and networking),
  • Knowledge of terminations including, but not limited to, audio, video, control, and network connectors.
  • Ability to understand schematics and utilize diagnostics.

  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required. 
  • Physical ability to lift 50lbs, squat, kneel and climb ladders from 8-12 ft. 
  • Comfortable working in ceilings and tight spaces.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The hiring compensation range for this position is an hourly rate of $36.00-$46.80/hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.

HOURS:

This is a full-time position. Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional travel and weekend work as needed.
