About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Audio Visual (A/V) Sales Representative to drive business growth by developing client relationships and delivering customized commercial A/V solutions. This role combines technical understanding with consultative sales, requiring the ability to assess client needs, design system concepts, and guide projects from initial contact through proposal and close. The ideal candidate is both customer-focused and technically proficient, with a strong ability to communicate value and build long-term partnerships.


Your Day

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients in commercial markets
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate A/V system solutions
  • Conduct site visits and client consultations to assess project requirements
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and system designs
  • Collaborate with engineering and installation teams to ensure accurate project scope
  • Track leads, opportunities, and sales activity in CRM systems
  • Stay current on A/V technologies, products, and industry trends
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and client meetings
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance goals
  • Provide post-sale support and maintain client satisfaction

Were Looking For

  • Must have
    • Experience with major A/V brands (e.g. Atlona, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Shure)
    • 5+ years of experience in AV sales or design
    • Strong understanding of commercial A/V systems (displays, audio systems, control systems, conferencing solutions)
    • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to client sites
    • Experience responding to RFPs/RFQs and bid processes
  • Nice to Have
    • Established network of clients or industry contacts
    • CTS/CTS-D from AVIXA
    • Background in low-voltage systems, IT networking, or electrical work a plus
    • Familiarity with system design tools and proposal software
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
    • Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings and system designs
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
