Job description

We are seeking a High School Math Teacher to join our team! You will educate students in one or more subjects at the secondary level in a small private school.

You will be teaching in a very small classroom setting that may have students from various grades. The right candidate should be excited by the prospect of working with and engaging each student on an individual level to best maximize his potential.

As you will only be teaching 1 or 2 periods per day, we are willing to be flexible with the schedule to accommodate other positions you may have.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and educate students in a classroom setting

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans

  • Maintain positive relationships with students and parents

  • Document and share student grades and evaluations

  • Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in teaching or other educational fields

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Ability to build rapport with students

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong leadership qualities

Teachers may be required to teach from out of school (distance learning) or may need to teach in school with one or more students who are learning from home. This teaching can include live (synchronous) learning and correspondence (asynchronous) learning. This requires proficiency with distance learning tools, including (but not limited to) video conferencing and electronic learning management (LMS).

Teachers must agree to undergo a background check.
