WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a IT Applications Manager - Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Strategy in our Green Bay, Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, or Chicago, Illinois locations. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time regularly spent in the office.

Job Summary

The IT Applications Manager - AI & Data Strategy is responsible for advancing the company's use of data and artificial intelligence to improve business performance, optimize operations, and accelerate innovation. Working across business and technology teams, this position establishes the strategic direction for AI, analytics, and data capabilities while ensuring investments align with organizational priorities and business objectives. Through leadership of the AI and Data Analytics teams, the manager develops team leaders, drives cross-functional collaboration, and ensures the successful delivery and adoption of innovative solutions. By aligning people, processes, and technology, this position shapes and advances how the organization leverages AI and data to support its strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the AI and Data Strategy roadmap to support business priorities and long-term organizational objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and govern AI, analytics, and data initiatives that create measurable business value and align with enterprise goals.
  • Establish the strategic direction, architecture, and governance framework for AI, analytics, and data capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Assess emerging AI and analytics trends and develop long-term capability roadmaps that support business strategy, innovation objectives, and future organizational needs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the AI and Data Analytics Team Leads, providing strategic direction, aligning team priorities, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure AI and data initiatives align with business strategy, governance requirements, and enterprise architecture while driving organizational adoption, capability maturity, and change management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Data Science, Information Science, or Engineering.
  • 5 years of system development and implementation experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Project management experience
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of business strategy and process
  • Demonstrated experience supervising others
  • Data Strategy and AI implementations experience

End Date: 08/06/2026 

Pay Range Minimum:  $119,696.20 

Pay Range Maximum:  $179,544.04 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
