Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (React Native)

What does a successful Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (React Native) do?

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native, TypeScript, and modern mobile development frameworks. These applications support more than 30 million active users, process billions of financial transactions annually, and facilitate the secure movement of trillions of dollarsbetween consumers, merchants, service providers, and financial institutions.

You will play a key role in modernizing our mobile platform, delivering innovative customer experiences, and helping drive the future of digital financial services at scale.

What you'll do
  • Join a team responsible for evolving and modernizing our mobile applications using React Native and TypeScriptwhile continuing to deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
  • Build reusable React Native components, screens, and libraries that enable scalable and maintainable application development.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, Backend Engineering, and QA teams in an Agile environment to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, payment services, and financial technology platforms.
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and reliability across mobile devices.
  • Utilize modern state management solutions such as Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Context API, or similar frameworks.
  • Develop secure mobile applications by implementing authentication, encryption, data protection, and PCI compliance best practices.
  • Support localization and multi-language experiences for global users.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines, application releases, analytics, monitoring, and push notification services.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, sprint planning, and architectural decision-making.
  • Work closely with native iOS and Android teams when platform-specific functionality or custom native modules are required.
Experience you'll need to have
  • 5+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
  • 4+ years of React Native development experiencebuilding and deploying production-grade applications.
  • Strong expertise in React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of React fundamentals including hooks, component architecture, navigation, and state management.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and third-party SDKs.
  • Knowledge of mobile application architecture patterns and scalable design principles.
  • Experience with mobile security, encryption, secure storage, authentication, and data protection standards.
  • Experience publishing and maintaining applications in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
  • Strong Git version control and collaborative development practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

How you'll work

Salary Range

$109,000.00 - $182,400.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
