JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose

The Senior Analyst, Business Development drives Sysco's market position and financial growth by acquiring new business through strategic planning, advanced analytics, and effective contract negotiation. This role utilizes Sysco's Salesforce platform, employs a team-selling approach, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive solutions for prospects. The Senior Analyst builds strong customer relationships and manages the onboarding process, transitioning new accounts to the sales force.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Sales Pipeline & Proposals: Manage a robust sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and develop creative sales plans to capitalize on multi-segment opportunities. Coordinate the proposal process for local contracts, addressing client needs and objectives.
  • Drive New Business Acquisition: Lead new business acquisition efforts, leveraging cross-functional teams to address prospect concerns, build trust, and shorten sales cycles. Collaborate with the sales team to expand business development efforts and secure key accounts.
  • Monitor Performance & Market Trends: Review sales objectives and results for target accounts, developing action plans for improvement. Gather information on emerging market and foodservice industry trends to enhance Sysco's competitive advantage.
  • Customer Onboarding & Relationship Management: Foster relationships with prospects and manage the onboarding process, transitioning new accounts to the sales force. Maintain accurate prospect data within Sysco's Salesforce platform.
