Job description

Company Description
Circle Logistics is a third-party logistics (3PL) firm focused on delivering three core promises to our customers:
  • No Fail Service
  • Personalized Communication
  • Innovative Solutions

We leverage technology, industry experience, and employee ingenuity to provide industry-leading transportation solutions that keep America moving.
Job Description
We're looking for a hands-on IT Manager to own the technology environment that keeps approximately 400 users productive across our Fort Wayne headquarters and remote branch offices. You'll lead a team of two help desk technicians, coordinate with our data team on shared infrastructure and access, and stay close enough to the work to configure a switch or rebuild a workstation when needed.
This is a builder role, not a caretaker. You'll manage user accounts and access, keep every office connected and secure, run the phone system, maintain the workstation fleet, and serve as the final escalation point for technical issues. You'll be the person leadership turns to when a branch loses connectivity, when a new hire needs to be productive on day one, or when we need to stand up a new office. If you thrive on ownership, variety, and visible impact, this is the role for you.
What You'll Own
Team Leadership
  • Lead, schedule, and develop two help desk technicians-setting priorities, reviewing work quality, and expanding their technical capabilities
  • Establish and maintain response and resolution standards for the support queue
  • Partner with three data team technicians on shared infrastructure, system access, integrations, and reporting environments
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for the entire organization

User and Account Management
  • Own the full user lifecycle across all core platforms-onboarding, role changes, and offboarding-with same-day turnaround for new hires and immediate access removal for departures
  • Administer company email and collaboration tools, including mailboxes, distribution groups, shared drives, licensing, and security settings
  • Manage user provisioning and permissions in Transport Pro and other line-of-business applications, working with operations leaders to ensure access aligns with role requirements
  • Oversee password, multi-factor authentication, and identity management while enforcing access control standards

Network and Connectivity
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points at headquarters and all branch locations
  • Manage internet and WAN circuits across the office footprint-carrier relationships, service escalations, bandwidth planning, and failover
  • Support VPN and remote access for branch and traveling users
  • Lead network buildouts for new office openings, relocations, and expansions

Phone System and Communications
  • Administer the company phone system across headquarters and all branch offices-extensions, call routing, hunt groups, voicemail, and auto-attendant
  • Provision and reassign phone users as part of onboarding and offboarding; support headsets, softphones, and desk hardware
  • Manage telecom vendors, service escalations, number porting, and call quality across all sites

Endpoints and Hardware
  • Manage the full workstation fleet of approximately 400 machines-standardized imaging, deployment, patching, refresh cycles, and secure disposal
  • Maintain asset inventory and lifecycle tracking for laptops, desktops, monitors, phones, printers, and peripherals
  • Handle hardware procurement and spare-stock planning to ensure new hires and replacements never wait on equipment

Support and Operations
  • Own the help desk queue-triage, prioritization, resolution, and escalation-with clear, measured response standards
  • Document systems, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge resides with the company, not with individuals
  • Manage vendors and MSPs, contract renewals, and IT spend against budget
  • Plan and test backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Drive endpoint security, patch compliance, and end-user security awareness in partnership with leadership

Qualifications
What You Bring
Experience & Leadership
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years leading technicians or managing multi-site environments
  • Proven ability to develop technical staff, delegate effectively, and maintain visibility into team performance
  • Experience supporting distributed offices and remote users across multiple locations

Technical Skills
  • Strong networking fundamentals-configure switches, troubleshoot VLANs, deploy firewall rules, and interpret network diagnostics
  • Hands-on administration of Microsoft Windows environments and cloud identity/email platforms (Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365)
  • Server administration experience, both on-premises and cloud-based, including virtualization, Active Directory, file and application servers, backup, and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Scripting and automation capability using PowerShell, Python, SQL, or similar languages to streamline provisioning, data reconciliation, and routine tasks
  • Practical knowledge of endpoint management and ticketing systems

Professional Qualities
  • Excellent troubleshooting instincts with sound judgment about urgency and prioritization
  • Clear communicator who explains technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively
  • Familiarity with AI tools and demonstrated ability to apply them to support, automation, or workflow improvements
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to branch offices as needed

Nice to Have
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft/Google administrator credentials
  • Experience in freight, logistics, or other 24/7 operating environments
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (Transport Pro or comparable platforms)
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks (TISAX, SOC 2, NIST CSF) or formal audit requirements
  • Conversational Spanish

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
