Job description

Join a innovative team at the forefront of global connectivity! As a Contracts Manager for Amazon Leo, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding internet access to unserved communities worldwide. Your expertise will be critical in navigating complex legal landscapes and supporting transformative satellite communication initiatives that have the potential to connect millions of people.
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for an experienced and technically savvy Contracts Manager to join the Amazon Leo for Government Legal team. You will help Amazon Leo navigate new frontiers by driving process improvements and initiatives to support our public sector customers globally. You will manage our team's projects globally, driving prioritization and completion of projects that will support and drive business needs.
This position will be based in Arlington, VA or Bellevue, WA. Some travel may be required.
Export Control Requirement:
This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
Key job responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate comprehensive legal agreements supporting Amazon Leo's global connectivity initiatives
- Develop and maintain contract templates, training materials, and standard operating procedures
- Provide strategic contracting advice to business team members across multiple projects
- Track and analyze contract-related metrics to drive continuous process improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure legal compliance and support business objectives

You'll collaborate on critical legal documentation, engage in strategic contract negotiations, and develop processes that support our global public sector partnerships. Each project you touch will contribute to breaking down communication barriers and bringing innovative connectivity solutions to communities around the world.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in contracts management
- Experience in drafting and negotiating the legal terms in a broad range of standard commercial contracts
- Strong understanding of commercial contract principles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years' experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
- Background in public sector contracting
- In-house contracts management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects

The base pay for this position ranges from $68,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
