Job description

As a Traffic Management Specialist (COTR), you will identify, respond, and  resolve various situations relating to GSA's supply chain and movement of customer orders world-wide.
Location of position: Federal Acquisition Service; Office of Shared Services Delivery; Office of Supply Management; Global Supply Management Service Center; Supply Operations Division; Transportation Branch

We are currently filling two vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Qualifications:

The GS-13 salary range starts at $108,019.00 per year.  If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is experience:

  • Negotiating contracts for freight transportation services (i.e., including preparing solicitations, evaluating and identifying primary carriers, arranging pre-award surveys, coordinating awards with organizations, and/or monitoring carrier performance after award).
  • Managing a transportation or traffic program for an organization (i.e., operating a transportation system to provide common carrier types of services to shippers, and/or procuring carriers and other transportation services to move personnel, freight, and/or other commodities)
  • Managing financial transactions in SYNCADA or an equivalent financial supply chain management system (i.e., reviewing and approving/disapproving shipment orders and/or bills of lading, reviewing and certifying invoices, verifying supporting documents and/or certifying end of month billing cycles).
  • Developing policies, plans, procedures, methods, and/or techniques for implementing a transportation or traffic management program.
