Description

Landing Gear Technologies is an FAA Certified Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of aircraft landing gears and components. We believe a company can only be as good as the employees that stand behind it, and in this constantly growing industry, we are always seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our team.


At this time LGT is currently looking to hire an Engineer Specialist.


Location: The right candidate for this role must be residing in South Florida, as this position is fully onsite. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have Landing Gear Experience.
  • Understand and interpret aerospace technical documents such as CMM's, OHM's, SOPM's, Service Bulletins & Letters, Blueprints Etc. 
  • Creating work plans for individual parts detailing the required repair process as stated in the OEM technical data.
  • Visually & Dimensionally inspecting aircraft components to verify compliance in accordance with technical data (CMM, OHM, Blueprint).
  • Determine applicable repair processes in case rework is required for return to service in accordance with technical data (CMM, OHM, Blueprint).
  • Post re-work inspection to verify completion of tasks.
  • Creating bill of materials (BOM) for all components to be repaired listing all necessary parts per configuration.
  • Evaluates measurement data to determine appropriate tolerances.
  • Recommends & implements design changes and manufacturing improvements based on measurement data.
  • Reviews & approves FAA design packages.
  • Organizes & supervises process improvement teams to develop cost effective manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results.
  • Manage major repair development projects, including development of project plans, work scope, budget requirements, task management and certification.
  • Collaborate with Team Members at all levels of the organization regarding manufacturing capabilities, production methods, scheduling, etc. to facilitate production throughput while maintaining a high-quality standard.

Minimum Requirements:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution required; Master's degree preferred 
  • Good planning, organization, and problem-solving skills, mechanical in nature.
  • Prior Airbus aircraft experience as an Engineer/Configuration Specialist, with landing gear expertise required.
  • Must be able to operate and read precision instruments.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, procedure manuals, drawings and operating instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Ability to perform mathematics related to dimensional inspections.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • Must be detail oriented and execute with a high level of accuracy.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
