Job description

Overview

The Aerospace Engineer III position is a full-time exempt position. The individual will support the development and implementation of physics based modeling and simulation tools to support aerospace system design and analysis, perform engineering trade studies, and performance assessments. The individual will report to the Program Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Develop simulation models and software for aerospace or weapon system applications.
  • Perform GNC analysis, trajectory analysis, and/ or performance analysis of aerospace or weapon system applications.
  • Develop advanced technology concepts for missile and aerospace system applications.
  • Document and present results to technical leads, management and/or customers.
  • Responsible for executing technical assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Support the development and on-time delivery of technical products to our customers.
  • Assist with program management with defining work products and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to in the performance of duties.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

  • BS degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 5+ years of modeling and simulation experience with complex aerospace systems required.
  • 6-DOF simulation and GNC experience is highly desired.
  • Programming experience in Matlab, C++, and FORTRAN required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Clearance

  • Active SECRET clearance Required. Top Secret clearance Preferred.
