> Field Service Technician II - RF/Acoustic Obsidian Solutions Group LLC Field Service Technician II - RF/Acoustic Rosslyn, VA Job Type Full-time Description The Field Service Technician II – RF/Acoustic supports overseas posts by testing, maintaining, and  reporting on equipment in the field. The technician reviews compliance with security standards and  provides technical security solutions when needed and maintains and repairs shielded environments for  overseas facilities. This position requires excellent verbal and written skills, including the preparation of  detailed trip engineering services reports with acoustic and radio frequency test results, as well as  documentation of maintenance and repair activities. The technician recommends and coordinates  corrective actions to be resolved by domestic State groups and overseas staff, provides training for  personnel, and assists with the development of training modules for maintenance and repair programs.  Responsibilities also include maintaining test equipment and occasionally providing maintenance and repair support for domestic facilities. The Field Service Technician II – RF/Acoustic is responsible for working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition, to support technical and operational requirements.   Key Accountabilities * Provides field offices support in the testing, maintenance, and reporting of equipment in the field. 
* Reviews compliance with security standards and provides unique technical security solutions when needed. 
* Provides maintenance and repair of shielded environments for overseas facilities. 
* Completes detailed report upon returning from overseas travel to include documentation of test results as well as documenting maintenance and repair activity. 
* Recommends and coordinates corrective action to be resolved by domestic DOS groups and overseas staff. 
* Provides training for post personnel and assist with the development of training modules for maintenance and repair programs. 
* Performs maintenance on test equipment. 
* Occasionally provides maintenance and repair support for domestic facilities.  Requirements Current U.S. Government final Top-Secret clearance and qualified for SCI access.   • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.   • High school diploma or GED required.   • At least two years of experience in maintaining and repairing radio frequency or acoustic shielded environments.   • Professional licensing in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, or at least two years of relevant experience.   • Substantive knowledge of regulations governing the use and access of classified materials.   • Demonstrated experience working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition.   • Ability to interact effectively with individuals or groups outside their organization or agency.   • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.   • Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.   • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.   • Ability to learn technical and physical security countermeasure systems and understand Overseas Security Policy Board (OSPB) standards.   • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, manual labor, using ladders, and working on construction sites.   Physical Requirements and Work Environment * Normal office environment. 
* Travel: 30 – 50%
