Job Title: Wireless Engineer

Location: Englewood CO 80111

Job Type: Contract (Onsite)

Job Summary: Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Wireless Engineer to play a critical role in the deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of 5G Core Network Functions. This position requires a deep understanding of 5G call flows, hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes, and a strong ability to contribute to a lab testing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of 5G Core Network Functions (AMF, SMF, UPF, AUSF, NRF, etc.) within a lab environment.

  • Analyze and validate 5G call flows across multiple network interfaces, ensuring strict adherence to 3GPP standards.

  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized Network Functions (NFs) effectively within Kubernetes clusters.

  • Responsible for the creation of essential technical documentation, including deployment guides, operation manuals, and detailed design documents.

  • Collaborate proactively with vendors and internal stakeholders to efficiently reproduce, analyze, and document technical issues.

  • Actively participate in automation planning and contribute to the development of repeatable deployment and robust test processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in 5G deployment and testing.

  • Expert-level understanding of 5G call flows and 3GPP interface behaviors.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and the deployment of containerized NFs.

  • Demonstrated experience working with vendor NFs from leading providers such as Ericsson, Nokia, and Mavenir.

  • Exceptional documentation skills, with the proven ability to create structured manuals, comprehensive guides, and traceable test records.

  • Proficient with industry-standard tools for troubleshooting, including Spirent Landslide, Wireshark, Tcpdump, and various log analysis tools.

  • Possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and meticulous attention to detail.
