Glaucoma Specialist/Cataract Surgeon – Albuquerque, New Mexico

New Mexico recently passed a bill that may provide physicians up to $300k in loan repayment to practice in New Mexico!  This is one of the most generous loan forgiveness programs for medical professionals in the U.S.

Our Private Practice is a large DOCTOR-OWNED integrated practice, is seeking a fellowship trained, board certified/board eligible Glaucoma Specialist to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the sun shines over 300 days a year!  Candidates must possess both excellent clinical knowledge and excellent surgical skills.  While the position is focused on management of complex glaucoma patients, it is desired that the candidate also have very good cataract surgery skills to help with the large load of cataract surgery the practice needs to perform.  The selected candidate will receive careful, ongoing mentoring in all areas of patient care to help that individual excel and ultimately provide an exceptionally high level of surgical and clinical care to patients.  Our patients present a full spectrum of medical and surgical glaucoma disorders.  Excellent opportunity for an Ophthalmologist who values a service oriented, team based environment with a strong commitment to providing quality patient care.  Extensive patient base will promptly allow for a busy clinical and surgical practice.  Eligible for partnership consideration after the second year of employment.


Albuquerque's high-desert location offers 300+ days of sunshine a year, four seasons, low humidity, a convenient airport and proximity to many recreational activities including, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, road cycling, skiing and golf.  It provides diverse cultural offerings and an active arts community.  In addition, Santa Fe. one of the country's most popular tourist destinations is only one hour away.
