Responsibilities:
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Listen and communicate well with the dispatchers, route supervisors and management.
  • Collect organic waste from residential and commercial customers on scheduled routes.
  • Ensure timely delivery of compost materials to designated licensed compost dump facilities.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries, including customer interactions.
  • Must be able to work independently but understand need for reporting to supervisors to get all work accomplished
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding service issues.
  • Promote Compost Connections mission and educate customers on composting guidelines/policies.
  • Communicate well with route supervisors and Management.
  • Report any issues or incidents to dispatch, the supervisors &/or managers.
  • Daily report to mechanic
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class E CDL license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Excellent listening, communication and customer service skills are a must!
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads as required 50+ pounds repetitively all-day long.
  • Must drive and load yard waste without a helper.
  • Class E license to drive small Isuzu rear load garbage truck
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, as some Saturdays are mandatory.
  • Ability to use a Samsung tablet to record route activities.
  • Clean Driving Record.
  • Ability to read a map without the use of navigational Apps.
  • Ability to use a Computerized software on tablet for collection reporting.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to company random drug/alcohol testing.
