Job description

HSE Manager 1
Manages the site safety program on an assigned project. Manages the team of safety
professionals on their assigned project site (where applicable). Educates and trains
Austin project staff in safety requirements, best practices, and incident prevention.
Ensures compliance with company and customer safety policies.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Build working relationships with customer representatives, project staff, and
subcontractor representatives
• Create accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents
• Lead and participate in safety training and subcontractor development
• Represent company in a positive and professional manner with the customer and
subcontractors
• Create and facilitate safety trainings and orientations aligned with project
specifics and schedules
• Participate in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned region
• Ensure compliance with the company’s current safety manual, policies, and
expectations
• Develop and maintain the site Safety Execution Plan (SEP) and facilitate annual
reviews
• Engage in cross-site activities including cross-audit opportunities with regional or
area managers

Qualifications
• OSHA 30 required. Preferred certification as one or more of the following: BCSP
OHST, BCSP CHST, NCCER Construction Safety Technician, NCCER Safety
Technology, OSHA 500, or OSHA 501, or equivalent
• Minimum of three years of progressive experience in safety and health processes
• Industrial, manufacturing, and construction experience preferred
