Job description

What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value. Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices.

This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications. Responsibilities Manage and optimize Warehouse Management System (WMS) across four 3PL warehouses throughout the United States Support transition from legacy Tecsys Elite system to a new SAAS solution integrating with SAP Ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement Responsible for release management, WMS configuration, establishing SDLC best practices, collaborating with multiple internal and external teams while serving as a subject matter expert in pharmaceutical business processes, WMS, and TMS Partner with business teams to create Fit Gap Analysis, Key Decision Documents and options analysis, and Functional Specifications for the solutions to be implemented Partner with reporting, technical, data and change management leads to document functional requirements and specifications Responsible for activities such as requirement gathering, assessing requirements, test planning, analysis, and IT solution concept development.

Interact with Project Managers from multiple organizations to track project progress, identify risks, communicate risks and status to supervisor, and to assess potential impacts to the business. Create and maintain functional models, process flows, and wire-frame diagrams. Apply comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives Qualifications BS in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, preferred 8+ years of experience in WMS implementation, configuration, and support, preferred Experience with Tecsys Elite WMS preferred, but experience with other WMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder) is also relevant. Experience with supporting business critical applications. Experience on large-scale implementation programs preferred Experience with SAP or integrating to SAP a plus Proven leadership ability Experience working with SAAS vendors

Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies. Experience with release management processes. Knowledge of warehouse operations and pharmaceutical business processes is highly desirable.

Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience working with onshore/offshore managed service teams.
