Requirements
Under the direction of the Manufacturing Operations Manager, the Sanitation & Production Supervisor is responsible for anticipating and meeting the Company's evolving needs and objectives. This supervisory role provides firm, fair and consistent leadership to employees while fostering an environment of trust and open communication. The Sanitation & Production Supervisor assists with managing, directing and coordinating overall plant operations through managers, supervisors, leaders and employees.
Assuring safety, quality and performance objectives are a foundational expectation for this role.
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management deem necessary.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with HR, GMP, OSHA, FDA, DATCP, SQF, and USDA standards
โ€ข Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
โ€ข Develop team skills to support efficient, high-performing production
โ€ข Coordinate with Operations Manager to prevent shift-to-shift production gaps
โ€ข Lead, coach, and mentor employees to meet business and development goals
โ€ข Inspect products and equipment for quality and regulatory compliance
โ€ข Follow SSOPs to maintain sanitation and SQF standards
โ€ข Document inspections, violations, and corrective actions
โ€ข Communicate sanitation issues and recommend improvements
โ€ข Manage purchase orders for production supplies and materials
โ€ข Coordinate preventative maintenance and submit CMMS (eMaint) work orders
โ€ข Perform minor equipment maintenance and report major repair needs
โ€ข Track and manage chemical costs with suppliers
โ€ข Administer and document disciplinary actions as needed
โ€ข Promote a safe, secure, and positive workplace
โ€ข Other duties as appropriate or assigned.
