Retail Security Supervisor

LOCATION:

Inland Center Mall - San Bernadino, CA

PAY:

Starting at $21.11/hour

Thursday - Sunday


OVERVIEW:

We are seeking aRetail Security Supervisorto lead and support our on-site security team. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and vendors while delivering excellent customer service and strong team leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift Leads
  • Manage performance, including coaching and corrective actions when needed
  • Assist with hiring, training, and ongoing development of staff
  • Ensure proper scheduling, coverage, and accurate timekeeping

Security Operations

  • Oversee daily security operations and ensure compliance with post orders and company policies
  • Conduct site patrols and inspections to maintain safety standards
  • Ensure reports, logs, and documentation are completed accurately and on time
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms; coordinate with local authorities as needed

Safety & Systems Management

  • Monitor and support the use of security systems (CCTV, alarms, fire panels, access control, elevators)
  • Ensure all equipment and company vehicles are maintained and functioning properly
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and enforce safety protocols

Client & Communication

  • Build strong relationships with mall management, tenants, and local police/fire departments
  • Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding team and site performance
  • Provide excellent customer service through professional interactions with all visitors

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Prior security experience withsupervisory or leadership responsibilities
  • Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain requiredsecurity licenses/certifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent; Required
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems and access computer system, one year of which must be in the capacity of a supervisory position within the Security Industry.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
  • State Guard License is required.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification a plus.

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications or authorizations specified for the assigned site.
