Job Title: Paraprofessional / Direct Support Professional (IDD Services)

Company: Alpha Management Services, Inc
Location: Garner, NC
Schedule: evenings 1p-6p. 22 hour per week of CLS + respite services
Job Summary

We are seeking support for a 30-year-old male who is friendly, inquisitive, and well-mannered, with a great sense of humor. He values his independence and enjoys engaging in community activities. The ideal candidate understands the importance of providing appropriate space, encouragement, and guidance while allowing him opportunities to problem-solve and complete tasks independently. Support should focus on fostering autonomy, building confidence, and encouraging meaningful community participation while maintaining safety.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support in the home and community setting
  • Assist and support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) (e.g., hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal prep, errands, light housekeeping)
  • Encourage community integration (outings, social activities, volunteering)
  • Implement goals outlined in the Individual Support Plan (ISP)
  • Use prompting, modeling, and teaching strategies to promote independence
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation (daily service notes, EVV)
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and team members
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (if required for position)
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • CPR/FA and NCI (on-site training available)
