Job description

The Male Advocate is responsible for participating in the weekly-rotating 24/7 LVOC after-hours hotline, performing client intakes, determining eligibility for services, assigning clients to appropriate advocates and/or providing victim advocacy and supportive services to clients. The Male Advocate shall provide advocacy and support to all eligible crime victims, although their main focus shall be ensuring services are available to under-served/under-represented male clients. Other services provided shall be completing, and monitoring for progress, an advocacy plan to meet the clients' needs and those of their children, providing transportation when necessary and helping clients moving into/out of the LVOC DV Shelter, if applicable, providing court accompaniment, submitting emergency financial assistance requests and providing referrals for services outside of LVOC Data collection & entry into Infonet shall be required. The Male Advocate will be required to travel for training and to maintain a valid WA state driver's license.
