Job description

Position Overview
As a Makeup Artist, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our clients and help them look and feel their best. We're looking for an individual with strong cosmetic knowledge and creative skills to create a memorable experience for our clients.
This position requires a high level of customer service and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should be able to take direction and work independently.
Essential Job Functions
1. The schedule for this position is Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 6pm at the ABH Salon in Beverly Hills, CA.
2. Provide make up application services and make up lessons that meets the Company standards.
3. Responsible for achieving service goals set by Management.
4. Responsible for achieving sales goals set by Management.
5. Uphold all CA state laws for safety and sanitation.
6. Ensure the counter, shelves and gondolas are customer ready throughout the entire business day from opening to closing.
a. Ensure product is stocked throughout the day.
7. Uphold high standards of counter hygiene by regularly cleaning display units, tools, and testers throughout the day.
8. Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels by performing stock counts, ensuring proper rotation, and ensuring timely replenishment.
a. Place orders, unpack and count orders.
9. Establish strong client relationships by actively listening to their needs and preferences and offering personalized recommendations. Assisting customers with their questions or requests.
10. Ensure wax and make up stations are sanitized and stocked throughout the day. Wax and AC off at the end of the day.
Requirements
1. This position requires a high level of customer service and excellent communication skills.
2. Foster a positive and collaborative attitude in your work and interactions with colleagues.
3. Support and contribute to an environment of open communication and professionalism.
4. The ideal candidate should be able to take direction and work independently.
5. The successful candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in the cosmetics industry, a strong understanding of beauty trends, and a passion for makeup.
6. In addition, the candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and be comfortable using a variety of makeup products.
7. Expert knowledge on Golden Ratio Eyebrow shaping method and how to appropriately use ABH products.
8. Adhere to dress code guidelines.
9. Cosmetology license required.
The starting base salary for this position in the selected city is $16.90 hourly plus commission and tips. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographical location.
