What You'll Do

As a Substitute Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher to ensure continuity in students' education.
  • Adapt to different classroom environments and grade levels while maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
  • Follow all school district policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:

    • Must have a current Missouri Substitute Certificate or Missouri Teaching License through the Department of Education (DESE)
    • Must have 36+ college credits or Frontline Training
    • Must be at least 21 years old
    • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
    • Previous experience in teaching or substitute teaching is highly desirable.
    • Must be able to pick up last-minute, on-call assignments and be available Mondays and Fridays.
