Job Description: Sales Associate/Cashier
Position Summary
The primary role of our sales associates and cashiers is to provide helpful and friendly customer service, keep products and store facilities neat and orderly, and support fellow team members and management with store goals and objectives.
Major Responsibilities
The Major Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Helping customers find products in a friendly and professional manner
- Ensuring products, store departments, and job stations are neat and orderly
- Cleaning, maintaining store supplies, and facility maintenance
- Assisting in the training and development of new hires
- Engaging ones own product knowledge with access to in-house training resources
- Maintaining a friendly, helpful, and professional approach to all aspects of this Sales Associate position
Minimum Requirements
The minimum requirement for this Sales Associate position are as follows:
- Education/Training: High School degree preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Great organization skills and attention to detail
- Motivated and excited to work
Physical Requirements
The minimum physical requirements for this positions include:
- Work on your feet for the duration of an 8 hour shift
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds frequently, and 60 pounds infrequently
- Using ladders, hand-trucks, and pallet jacks to handle product
