The Davis Conference Center and Hilton Garden Inn in Layton, Utah are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to assist in maintaining the physical condition, safety, and operational excellence of our property along with our other Maintenance Engineers and Chief Maintenance.
This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with a passion for preventative maintenance and the ability to ensure compliance with Hilton Quality Assurance standards and Western States Lodging & Management expectations.

What You'll Do
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will assist the Chief and fellow Maintenance workers to ensure all aspects of building and grounds maintenance, including repairs involving some aspects and troubleshooting of:
  • HVAC
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Mechanical systems
  • Painting, patching, flooring, and general building repairs

  • Participate in our preventative and reactive maintenance programs
  • Ensure you are working in compliance with OSHA safety standards and building security protocols
  • Assist with construction, installations, and equipment maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with guests, leadership, associates, and vendors
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and professional appearance of all property areas

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance (preferred)
  • HVAC knowledge and experience (preferred)
  • Forklift operation experience
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity)
  • Strong team-oriented, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, to understand work orders and safety procedures, coordinate with team members and vendors, and provide professional service to guests.
