General Responsibilities:

The Workplace Operations Technician is responsible for locksmith, HVAC, appliance, and electrical systems installation, repairs and maintenance for selected worksites in the media/entertainment industry. This position performs inspection, testing on fire safety systems and supports commercial building MEP and plumbing system maintenance.

Schedule:

  • On-Call, Temporary
  • Monday - Friday (+ weekends on as needed basis)
  • 9am - 5:30pm (hours will vary based on need)
  • Schedules may shift but employees will be given a notice prior to any change. 

Pay: $35 - $40 per hour (DOE)

Specific Duties / Essential Functions:

  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance of refrigeration storage equipment at multiple locations
  • Refrigeration inspections, adjustments, appliance repairs and maintenance
  • HVAC system inspections, adjustments, repairs and maintenance
  • Appliance repairs as directed
  • Electrical systems inspection, repair and maintenance, including lighting controls, energy management systems and breaker boxes.
  • Responsible for overall mechanical, engineering and plumbing (MEP) systems, including troubleshooting, repair and escalation as needed.
  • Perform End of Shift Inspections (EOS) following company guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at the end of each shift.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

  • 4 years of HVAC or building engineer experience is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • HVAC and EPA 608 certification are required.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Ability to walk for extended periods across multiple job sites
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Repetitive use of hands, wrists, arms, and legs, including climbing stairs, use of ladders and kneeling or squatting.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
  • Must provide proof of work authorization and complete an I-9 and E-Verify process
