Maintenance Technician
Apartment Services, Inc. – Towson, MD
Full-Time | On-Call Rotation Required | Multiple Property Locations Possible

Job Overview: Apartment Services, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at our residential properties. This role includes general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances. We’re looking for a reliable, skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete service requests/work orders within 24 hours
  • Perform general repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry
  • Prepare apartments for new residents, including move-in readiness and repairs
  • Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property
  • Inspect and troubleshoot building systems, including safety and alarm equipment
  • Document maintenance activity and report issues to the Service Supervisor
  • Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and Fair Housing regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members
  • Assist with snow removal, salting, and emergency weather response
  • Perform other duties as assigned

On-Call Requirement: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule. Must respond within 15 minutes by phone and 30 minutes in person when on call.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of apartment or property maintenance (or related) experience
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (vehicle required during shifts)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, kneeling)
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to work at multiple properties as needed
  • Reliable phone and email communication

Schedule: Full-time position. May include evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation.
