Job Description

The role of a Maintenance Technician is to provide technical expertise that ensures the production process continues without interruption. Our maintenance techs perform troubleshooting and maintenance tasks on a wide variety of equipment. These task are accomplished using skills in the following areas: Electrical, Electronics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, PLC’s, VFD’s, Motor and Industrial Controls, Mechanics, Industrial Gas Burners, Plumbing, and others relating to our Industrial Manufacturing environment. Our maintenance technicians are safety continuous, self-motivated, thoroughly professional, practically minded and have great attention to detail.

Location: Decatur, IL
Salary: $22 - $30 /hour (starting pay is based on experience)

Maintenance Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working as scheduled and being on time.
  • Performing all duties using the required safety procedures and applicable PPE.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing all types of equipment while keeping downtime to a minimum.
  • Performing PMs on production equipment, and other equipment types, required to keep the production process and facility operating smoothly.
  • Recording completed maintenance task and keeping maintenance records up to date.
  • Communicating with managers and supervisors on the progress of equipment repairs, maintenance task and other assigned duties.
  • Being a self-motivated team member, willing to do what is needed to complete any work task.
