Job description

We’re looking for a dependable Technician to support industrial and environmental cleaning operations across a variety of customer worksites. This role involves hands-on use of specialized tools and equipment to safely and efficiently complete cleaning projects in demanding environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Follow all MPW health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Report to assigned branch or jobsite on time, in proper uniform, and prepared for daily assignments
  • Set up jobsite equipment including water blast hoses, vacuum hoses, barricades, and safety tags
  • Operate water blasting tools, including guns and lances, for industrial cleaning applications
  • Handle dry and wet vacuum hoses (6” and 8”) for material removal and environmental cleaning
  • Use manual tools such as shovels and picks to assist with debris removal and job completion
  • Operate automated tooling and specialized cleaning equipment as required by the job
  • Assist in the safe operation of aerial platform lifts and other access equipment when needed
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings while working in active industrial environments
  • Clean and inspect tools and equipment before returning them to the branch location
  • Support team members in completing job tasks efficiently and safely
  • Adapt to varying jobsite conditions, customer requirements, and work scopes
  • Follow scheduling processes and remain flexible to meet operational needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor


What You’ll Need

  • Valid government-issued ID required to access customer worksites
  • Prior experience in industrial, mechanical, or maintenance environments preferred
  • Background in outdoor manual labor or physically demanding work strongly preferred
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience with tools or heavy equipment is a plus
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly, with or without accommodation
  • Ability to perform continuous physical labor including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing during 8–12 hour shifts
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in environments requiring full PPE including respirators
  • Ability to work in varying conditions including extreme temperatures, industrial noise, dust, and exposure to chemicals or fumes
  • Ability to maintain alertness, situational awareness, and fitness for duty throughout the workday
  • Willingness to travel to job sites across multiple states for extended periods, including days or weeks at a time
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and non-traditional schedules based on project demands
