Job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join a leading Company located in the Chelmsford, MA surrounding area.

**US Citizenshipย is required.**
ย **Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.**

The 2ndโ€‘Shift Facility Maintenance Technician (Contractor) provides general upkeep and basic repairs for plant and office facilities, primarily at the Chelmsford microโ€‘electronics manufacturing site, while also supporting additional buildings as needed.

Job Responsibilities: ย 
  • Working the M-TH 2nd shift (โ‰ˆ2:30pmโ€“1am), this position handles routine facilities issues and basic equipment troubleshooting ranging from electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing tasks.ย 
  • Follows work orders and or other general instructions, conducts inspections, logs completed work, and offers limited janitorial support (e.g., trash removal, floor cleaning) when workload permits or support is required.

Basic Hiring Criteria:ย ย 
  • High school diploma or equivalent (trade certification or 1-2โ€ฏyears of handsโ€‘on maintenance experience preferred), can work independently and efficiently, demonstrate basic criticalโ€‘thinking and problemโ€‘solving abilities, and are proficient with hand/power tools and basic electrical/mechanical systems.ย 
  • The ability to obtain a security clearance is required. Interim clearance is required to start the position.
  • No degree required.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years of facilities experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with general maintenance.
