MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the maintenance team in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple shifts while ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective performance of all maintenance activities. The supervisor will be responsible for coordinating preventive maintenance (PM), work orders, and troubleshooting, while ensuring that machinery, equipment, and systems are maintained to meet production goals and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians across four shifts (24/7 operation), ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently and safely.
  • Schedule and prioritize preventive maintenance (PM) activities to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency.
  • Assign and track work orders, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, working to identify root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
  • Collaborate with production and operations departments to plan and execute maintenance activities without disrupting production schedules.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts, tools, and supplies to ensure readiness for maintenance tasks.
  • Review and analyze maintenance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and foster the professional development of the maintenance team.
  • Maintain up-to-date maintenance records and reports, and ensure proper documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Ensure effective communication with other departments, including operations, engineering, and management, regarding maintenance status and needs.
  • Training mentor for new hires and onboarding platforms for open positions.
  • Support with spare parts management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification (e.g., Maintenance Management, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of machinery and equipment used in manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights, and operate various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, industrial environment with proper protective equipment.

The compensation entry point for this role is $70,304.00/ annual
