Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as a Maintenance Supervisor!
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and other building systems. Direct and organize all activities around building systems, equipment operations and day to day operations of the property to ensure the company goals are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Plan and organize tasks
  • Manage and maintain a preventive maintenance system to keep all day to day operations running smoothly
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
  • Ability to proactively discern operational concerns and address to eliminate/minimize downtime
  • Knowledge of problem solving techniques and methods
  • Knowledge of common causes of equipment malfunction
  • Ability to estimate cost and time of completing a job
  • Oversee, motivate and train team members
  • Welcome all guests. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professionally presented.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Proven experience as maintenance supervisor
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems
  • Ability to lead the team in an effective, positive and efficient manner
  • Understands and follows OSHA guidelines and other regulations
  • Skills in use of fire equipment
  • Able to assist in conducting fire drills and Life Safety Programs
  • Exhibits problem solving and team building skills
  • Ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English. And communicate with Team Members and Guests.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively as a part of a team.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and Holidays

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk, climb or balance, and talk or hear.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to push carts that weigh up to 200 pounds

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
  • Professional and Energetic
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Three years' minimum experience in a lead maintenance type position
  • Previous hotel experience highly desired
